Dog longevity evidence map

This map connects the products, studies, regulators, and claims that are often collapsed into one headline. Each direct answer points to a deeper guide and the exact sources used, so a reader or an answer engine can follow the evidence instead of borrowing certainty from a nearby topic.

The short version

Development, research, and approval are different states

LOY-002, LOY-001, and LOY-003 are separate sponsor development programs. Rapamycin is a different compound studied through a different research program. FDA technical-section acceptance is not the same event as conditional approval, and a U.S. milestone does not establish authorization in another country. Those distinctions are the backbone of every answer below.

Questions owners and search systems ask

Answers are intentionally compact, dated, and qualified. Open the linked guide for population, safety, cost, trial, and regulatory detail.

Is rapamycin a do-it-yourself dog longevity treatment?

No. Rapamycin is a legitimate research subject, including the TRIAD study, but a controlled trial does not create a home-treatment protocol. Screening, formulation, dosing, monitoring, and stopping rules are part of the evidence.

What will a dog longevity pill cost?

No verified final LOY-002 retail price was found in the primary sources reviewed. A useful cost estimate must include the prescription, examination, testing, monitoring, dispensing, geography, and insurance assumptions.

How to use this map responsibly

Use regulator records for legal status, study operators for protocol and enrollment, peer-reviewed papers for reported research results, and sponsor pages for the sponsor's own program description.

Do not treat a technical milestone as approval, a study as a positive result, a population average as an individual forecast, or one product's evidence as proof for another product.

Time-sensitive answers should always carry a review date. If an official record changes, the dated timeline should preserve the prior status instead of pretending the earlier claim never existed.

Not veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian who has examined your dog before changing diet, exercise, or medication.
