Vaccine schedule
The 2022 WSAVA and 2024 AAHA guidelines converge on a streamlined, evidence-based protocol. Country law over-rides for rabies; everything else is risk-based. Always confirm with your veterinarian.

| Age | Core | Non-core (risk-based) |
|---|---|---|
| 6–8 weeks | DAPP #1 (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza) | Bordetella (oral) |
| 10–12 weeks | DAPP #2 | Leptospirosis #1 (high-risk regions) |
| 14–16 weeks | DAPP #3 + Rabies #1 (where legally required earliest) | Lepto #2, Lyme #1 (endemic areas) |
| 12 months | DAPP booster + Rabies booster | Bordetella, Lepto annual, Lyme annual |
| Every 3 years | DAPP titer or booster + Rabies (per local law) | Bordetella every 6–12 mo if boarding/grooming |
Longevity pill interaction note
The Phase 2 protocol for the canine longevity pill recommends a 14-day spacing window before and after live-virus vaccination. Killed-virus (DAPP-K) and rabies vaccinations show no interaction in published cohorts. When in doubt, defer the booster, never the rabies (legal requirement).
