The study reported 9.0 years as median longevity, with cancer, inability to stand, and mass-associated disorders among leading grouped causes of death. Joint, skin, gastrointestinal, behavior, and cancer categories were prominent in recorded morbidity.
The estimate differs from older primary-care mortality samples because the populations and survival methods differ.
